Flexible arrangements
Current production, anticipated closings, agent experience, loan volume, and supervisory scope are reviewed before terms are proposed.
Option 01
A comprehensive fixed monthly arrangement with no percentage or per-closing fees. Best suited for companies seeking predictable costs and ongoing Broker of Record, designated officer, or compliance support.
Option 02
A reduced monthly fee combined with an agreed percentage or per-closing amount based on transaction activity.
Option 03
A separately scoped arrangement for qualifying transactional needs that do not require an ongoing monthly engagement.
The process
Review your ownership, business model, experience, projected volume, agent plan, and timeline.
Confirm that the proposed company, principals, and operating plan support a responsible broker relationship.
Choose an appropriate monthly, production-based, or transaction-specific structure, then define responsibilities, systems, review, communication, and exit terms in writing.
Coordinate California DRE filings and prepare the brokerage’s policies, technology, and transaction workflow.
When the parties are a fit, initial onboarding can often begin within one business day. Operations begin only after required agreements, approvals, and systems are in place.

Frequently asked questions
Every engagement is different, but these answers explain the basic structure and expectations.
Broker of Record or designated officer service is a formal licensed role with responsibility for supervising the company’s licensed real estate activities. Compliance consulting supports an existing broker through policy, procedure, training, or risk-review work without replacing that company’s responsible broker.
A designated officer is the California-licensed real estate broker through whom a real estate corporation conducts licensed activity. The role includes supervision and control of the licensed activities performed on behalf of the corporation.
“Broker of Record” is a commonly used industry term. For a California real estate corporation, the Department of Real Estate formally identifies the responsible licensee as the designated broker-officer. The broker must hold an official corporate officer position and is responsible for supervising the corporation’s licensed real estate activities.
An out-of-state operator may be able to establish a California entity and pursue the registrations, corporate real estate license, officer designation, and operating systems required for California activity. The proposed structure must be reviewed before an engagement is accepted.
Onboarding generally evaluates ownership, business model, licensing status, personnel, projected volume, forms, advertising, transaction systems, financial controls, recordkeeping, and escalation procedures. The final scope depends on the services the company will perform.
No. Your company continues to lead its own brand and client relationships. Designated Broker Services does not solicit your clients for unrelated business; the engagement remains focused on the agreed supervisory, compliance, and operational responsibilities.
Scope notice: Services may include broker supervision, compliance oversight, and operational consulting. They do not include legal, tax, or accounting advice. Matters requiring those services should be referred to an appropriately qualified professional.
